Beach carnivals, race days, presentations and club events. Long-throw PA across an open site, wireless commentary positions, and gear that copes with sand, salt and a day in the sun.

Sunshine Coast Sound is run by Jack Scandrett, a sound engineer of fifteen years. His other work is commercial musical theatre — the kind of production where a missed cue is a very public problem.
That is an unusual background for an event hire company on this coast, and it is the whole point. Radio microphones that do not drop out. Systems tuned to the room rather than switched on and left. Cables that are not a trip hazard. Gear that arrives early and leaves quietly.

We are based in Coolum, with the gear stored in Noosaville, and we carry our own vehicle, so most of the Sunshine Coast is a straightforward drive — Noosa, Peregian, Coolum, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Caloundra, Montville, Maleny and the hinterland in between.
Beach and open-site work is normal for us: battery power, wind-resistant microphone technique and gear that can be carried across sand. Further afield is usually possible — ask and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right call.
Tell us about the day. Date, venue, rough numbers and what is happening. Five minutes on the phone is usually enough.
We send a written quote. Itemised and GST inclusive, with delivery and set-up priced in rather than added later.
We turn up and run it. Delivered, set up, tested with you, and either left running or looked after for the duration.
Most enquiries get an answer the same day. If your event is close, ring rather than email — we can usually tell you straight away whether it is possible.
